Didem Yeşilova, İstanbul – A member of the Turkish parliament faced terrorism charges, along with two others, at their eighth hearing before İstanbul 14th High Criminal Court. Enis Berberoğlu, an MP for the opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP), Can Dündar and Erdem Gül have been accused of “aiding and abetting a terrorist organization”. The hearing was adjourned until February 6.
Deniz Tekin, Diyarbakır – Seven journalists each face up to three years imprisonment for sharing on social media an article by the now-defunct Dicle News Agency (DİHA). The article revealed that Musa Çitil, the commander of a recent Turkish military operation in Sur, Diyarbakır, has previously been accused of criminal behavior related to the massacre of 13 civilians in Mardin's Derik province during the 1990s.
Ahmet Kanbal, Mardin – Abdulkadir Turay, a former journalist for now-defunct media outlet Dicle News Agency, has been sentenced to 9 years imprisonment for past news articles and notes. Turay has already been imprisoned for 2 years.

The first hearing of the compensation case pursued by Deniz Yücel, the Turkish correspondent of German newspaper Die Welt, against the Turkish government will be held at 10:45am at İstanbul 17. High Criminal Court on 25 September, Tuesday.
