Journalist Çağdaş Erdoğan’s hearing was adjourned until March

Cansu Pişkin, İstanbul - Third hearing of photojournalist Çağdaş Erdoğan who is charged with membership in a terrorist organization and terrorist propaganda was held at İstanbul 33. High Criminal Court.

Erdoğan did not attend the hearing in person, whereas his lawyer Engin Cinmen was present in the courtroom along with Michael Ivers from UK Bar Human Rights Committee, who monitored the hearing.

The hearing started with the reading of the new documents that were added to the case file. The prosecutor requested the court to wait until the review reports of the digital materials were completed. Lawyer Cinmen noted that they had no requests to make at this stage. Hearing was adjourned until 26 March 2019.
